Jaconda User Types
There are 3 type of users in Jaconda:
- Members. This is your company staff. They have permissions to do everything with the rooms they're in.
- Account Owner. Has all capabilities of members and also has the power to access and change the billing information and manage other members.
- Guests. People from the outside world, they can just join public rooms or enter the private rooms they visited already. Worth mentioning that Guests can add Jaconda ID to IM client or visit guest URL in browser to join the conversation. There are lots of uses for guest access – from chatting with contractors and clients to offering an easy solution for live chat support. Note, that guests can't see chat history and files shared before their entrance.
Other differences between Members and Guests include:
- Members are persistent, Guests will be deleted after 14 days of inactivity.
- Members can view all public rooms in the account, Guests can only be in one room.
- Members can manage rooms they're in, Guests can't.
