Not seeing missed messages

Hello. I'm using Adium to connect with Jaconda. When I log in each day I'm not seeing the missed messages that occurred while I was logged out. One of my colleagues does see these missed messages yet we can't figure out what's different between the two systems. Does Jaconda support sending missed messages to a user when they log in? If so, what do I need to do to enable it?

    Hi Rick,

First of all it should just work, Jaconda does not prevent offline messages from being delivered. This is something on your end.

Could it be that you have Gmail opened in the browser somewhere or have a computer running with you logged in somewhere? Do other people see you online when you are actually offline? Is "Do not store chat history" in Gmail enabled by any chance? Do you have the offline messages in Gmail "Chats"?

Thanks Nick. I think you're on to something regarding other clients being logged in. I'll run down that route first and see if it makes a difference. Thanks.

We're experiencing the same problem. Jaconda seems to be delivering fine as the messages are appearing in the Gmail Chat History, but they are not appearing in Adium. Is there some work around that anyone knows of?

This means your messages were received. It might be Gmail webpage left open in browser, or iPhone app with push swallowing messages. Did you ask in google forum btw?

I have enabled Chat in IMAP in Gmail to make sure I can check transcripts quickly just in case.
